Commissioner

Communicates with Representatives, Alternates and Club Pros as appropriate regarding issues which he sees developing or which are communicated to him by the Representatives. Calls for meetings in person regarding such issues as conditions warrant.

Presides at meetings of Member Club Representatives, Alternates and Club Pros and chairs debate during such meetings, or by electronic means at other times, regarding matters affecting WSIGA play and amenities.

Appoints a 3 man handicap committee composed of members from 3 different WSIGA clubs. The handicap committee monitors exceptional tournament scores to insure fairness to all WSIGA members.

This position is held by a Senior player from the Member Club which provided the Vice Commissioner the prior year.

Vice Commissioner

Steps in for the Commissioner as needed.

Monitors the collection of results from Interclub events and the posting of them on the web site.

This position is held by a Representative and filled by annual rotation amongst the Member Clubs.  The rotation of Clubs is:

1-Weston Lakes   2-Pecan Grove   3-Falcon Point   4-Quail Valley   5-Willow Fork   6-Sweetwater    7-Sienna   8-The Wilderness

Member Club Representative

When an event is not being held at his club:
Posts a list of players and their current handicap indices on the web site by 9:00 a.m. on the 3rd day prior to the event or advises the Vice Commissioner, the host club Rep and the host club Pro that his club cannot field a team.

Causes a check or cash in the amount of $400 to be delivered to the host club Pro on the day of the WSIGA event.

Advises the Vice Commissioner and the host club Pro of any change affecting his club's players.

When an event is being held at his club:
Posts a list of players and their current handicap indices on the web site by 9:00 a.m. on the 3rd day prior to the event or advises the Vice Commissioner, the host club Rep and the host club Pro that his club cannot field a team.

Co-ordinates event set up and play with the host club Pro, including payment of fees to the Pro by his own players.

Co-ordinates event food service and room availability with the host club Food Manager.

Causes scores of play to be checked and recorded so winners can be identified.

Sends results of play to the Vice Commissioner

Member Club Rep
Group Responsibilities:

Receives copies of all communications to members of the group and participates in all meetings and discussions.

Causes any information of interest to be disseminated to the members of his club.

Determines the position of his club's members on issues and casts his club's vote on matters affecting the group.

Insures that all Home, Away and Interclub scores of his Club's players have been posted on his Club's Handicap system prior to the Handicap revision date preceeding the next Interclub event.

Member Club Alternate

Stands in for Member Club Reps as required.

Receives copies of all communications to members of the group and participates in all meetings and discussions.

Host Club Pro

Receives names and handicap indices from the web site.

Arranges for cart availability and range balls, determines on-course groups and prints scorecards in preparation for play.

Receives money from visiting teams and from his own members.

Has scoreboard available in lunch room.

Creates pro shop credit certificates for winners and redeems them with merchandise at member prices or at least a 20% discount from retail.

Arranges for personnel to meet players upon arrival and help them locate their carts, as well as help take clubs to the carts and lead the way for players to their starting holes.

At 8:30 announces a 10 minute warning to return to carts

At 8:35 announces a 5 minute warning to return to carts

At 8:40 welcomes players and gives announcements and instructions for the day, and

At 8:45 sends players off to starting holes.

Is welcome to attend the January meeting and other meetings in person.

Host Club Food Manager

Provides coffee and water for guests when they arrive, and sees that water is available for use on the course during play.

Provides a respectable lunch (no burgers or dogs) with desert for the group.
